Who should attend?

This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies enabling successful candidates to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a safe and effective way. The course covers a range of subjects including; legalities and reporting, resuscitation and AED, accidents, asthma, stroke, epilepsy, diabetes etc. and is suitable for candidates aged 16 years plus. Candidates will need to be physically able to participate. Summative practical assessment is ongoing by the instructor along with written assessment and will lead to a FAA level 3 award in First Aid at Work meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations and is Ofqual accredited. It is ideal for organisations whose risk assessment has identified a requirement for additional first aid training, such as having employees with a medical condition, or a higher risk environment. In addition to the topics covered on an Emergency   First   Aid   At   Work course, this course covers treatment for a variety of injuries and medical conditions. Including when a casualty; Is Unresponsive And Breathing Is Unresponsive And Not Breathing, Including How To Use An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Is Choking Is Bleeding Is Suffering From Shock Has Burns Feels Faint Has Been Poisoned Has A Head Injury Has Hypothermia Or Heat Exhaustion Has An Injury To A Bone, Muscle Or Joint (including Spinal Injuries). The course will also cover: Seizure Heart Attack, Including The Administration Of Aspirin Angina Attack Stroke Asthma Attack Severe Allergic Reaction Diabetic Emergency The course also includes information on: Assessing A Casualty Monitoring A Casualty Where To Get Help Electrical Incidents Accident Recording And Reporting The Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health (COSHH) This course can be delivered at our training centre or at your workplace if more convenient.
